On the occasion of The Venice Glass Week, CASA YALI presents Attunement, the second chapter of Amy Revier's residency, following The Blue of Distance. The exhibition explores the connections between textile, blown glass and scent, understood as forms of material memory.
The starting point is a Roman glass unguentarium in the shape of a bird, held at the Museum of Antiquities in Turin. The vessel once contained aromatic oils and still retains their olfactory trace. From there, Revier worked with Murano master glassblowers and archaeologists to create new glass pieces in dialogue with her textile practice.
