The store is located at Via Quattro Spade 6/A, in Verona's Città Antica, a few steps from Via Mazzini and Piazza delle Erbe, within the historic commercial fabric of the city centre.
It is the brand's second space in the city: the first Carhartt WIP store in Verona, also on Via Quattro Spade at number 18/A, had been designed by Andrea Caputo himself in 2011. The new store, named "Verona 02" or "IV Spade 6", opened in August 2023 to a design by Andrea Caputo with Salomée Faeh.
Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) is the European division, founded in 1989 by the Loosli family, which reinterprets Carhartt's American workwear for an audience tied to streetwear, skate and music culture.
Andrea Caputo's Milan based studio has overseen the architectural identity of the brand's stores worldwide for over fifteen years, from Milan to Berlin to Seoul, making it the author of a true retail design system rather than of individual projects.
The store on Via IV Spade belongs to this established language: essential spaces that do not conceal the character of the existing shell, a reduced, industrial-derived material palette, metal, concrete, light wood and modular display furnishings consistent with the brand's workwear aesthetic.
The space is conceived as a neutral, robust backdrop for the product, in measured dialogue with the historic architecture of Verona's centre.
