SPUMA – Space for the Arts is an independent exhibition space located on Fondamenta San Biagio, on the island of Giudecca, within the industrial complex that once housed the Dreher brewery, active until the 1970s. The name of the space refers to the building's original production.

The western area of Giudecca, where SPUMA stands, retains the industrial character that marked the island's history between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Next to the former brewery are the Molino Stucky, now a hotel, and a series of former factories and warehouses gradually converted into artists' studios, workshops and exhibition venues.

The space unfolds on the ground floor across three consecutive rooms.

The largest, with concrete floors and exposed brick walls, has a second entrance leading to an outdoor garden.

Since its opening, SPUMA has hosted solo and group exhibitions of contemporary art, editions of the Venice Design Biennial, national pavilions and collateral events of the Venice Biennale.
